PM tells government to be cautious about reducing payroll tax

MOSCOW, Feb 28 (PRIME) -- The government should be careful in reduction of the tax burden on labor, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Friday.

“Concerning the payroll tax issues: the issues of labor taxes reduction are being considered indeed. But we need to be careful here and analyze the situation because as you understand, any reduction leads to additional spending from the federal budget to the Pension Fund, so we have to be careful,” Mishustin.

Mishustin said he would study all proposals of senators and parliamentarians on the issue, in particular, concerning small companies.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in an interview to RBC last week that the ministry was working on the ways to reduce the excessive labor tax burden and find compensatory funds.
